Building an inclusive community for all
Community Works! is co-ordinated by the Frontline Team. The focus is to ensure that everyone, including people with high support needs, are accepted and celebrated for who they are and are enabled to enjoy the satisfaction of ‘belonging’ in the wider community.
When people are released and supported to explore new opportunities, one thing inevitably leads to another as connections and relationships develop and grow. This may include social and recreational activities, supported employment, volunteering, arts activities... in fact anything that the community has to offer. As people engage in, and contribute to, the life of the community, they convey a positive image to others and clearly demonstrate that ‘Community Works!’
Community Works! bi-monthly newsletters give lively illustrations of what’s been happening, upcoming events and useful community information. Contributions of news items are welcomed!
